Haven't really had anything to blog about, that is, until i go outside this morning and find my bike tire to be let out, for the second time in 2 months. Ok seriously, who is so lame that the prank they decide to play is based on letting someone's air out of their tires?
Seriously, i use my bike every day, it's my only means of getting around without help. That being said, it'll only get me places locally, i'm not about to go trekking to Long Beach on it, but i can actually get around in pasadena. That being said, it's how i get to work. Yeah, riding at 5:45 am does suck, but i HAVE to do it. What i don't HAVE to do, and what i hate to do, is come tromping back into the house to wake up my warm and sleeping boyfriend to steal some of his sleep time to take me in to work. He understands, he's nice, and he does it, but what I don't understand is why someone would flatten the tires, but not even try to steal the bike. (Evan's bike got the lock cut off and stolen a few months ago from the same place where i put my 2 bikes now)
I mean, do the homeless who set up shop around Lake and Maple (btw, when the hell did that become the haven for these people, like 3 months ago it just exploded in a mass of cardboard signs with "Help, veteran needs food, will work..." scrawled across the front?) honestly have nothing better to do with their time? Or is it some jerk-off in the apartment building who's making the problem?
Maybe it would have been better if Robert had put in those gates, although cumbersome, it must keep someone out. If i had the money to get a swank bike lock with lasers, or even a bike pump, i'd be all over it. But i don't, not now. So to whoever is doing that, or did it, or whoever(s), i swear if i ever catch you, i'll rip your nips off with my crescent wrench and make you eat them WITHOUT any seasonings. TAKE THAT!
