Effervescent!

Well, the long concert weekend is OVER! Thanks to evan and nico, and my sneaky parents, for coming to the show and getting a lovely deli meal out of it! My weekend has been officailly shot by all the hullabaloo, and i'm still here at work on sunday, and won't be home till about 9 pm.

But, god willing, the kitty will be snuggly and evan got me the latest issue of Fables to read. This series is seriously good, pun intended! HAR HAR! I'm barely willing to lend out the previous issues, so if you're interested give me a heads up, they read like hotcakes. Hmmm, that doesn't make sense, but i'll keep it anyway. Basically it's all the fables we know, like snow white, 3 pigs, riding hood, etc, who have been exiled from their fable homelands by a mysterious adversary who's taking over everything, and have set up a community in New York under the not-so-watchful eye of the humans (called "mundys" for "mundane"). They have enchantments, spells, disguises, etc to keep the truth hidden, and have set up a local government within the new Fabletown, with the big bag wolf as their sherriff! And in case you were wondering, yes, it's a very grown up story, like, goldilocks has many assault weapons and somebody has seeeeEEEEeeeeexxxXXXXxxx...

I can't reveal any more of the story, but they're such a pleasure to read!

In other news, as you can see, i've totally mastered the [img] tag in all of it's glory. Hooray! Looking forward to Ev's party on friday, and to FINALLY not having to train it all the way over to NR days in a row. I need a drink, and some yoga. PLEASE!

Hey, glad to see you're feeling better! Did you give those allergies a swift scissor-kick to the throat?

Nice to see that Fables is a decent series. I had been meaning to check it out for a while, so perhaps I'll take you up on that offer. Just wondering, is it a Vertigo label comic?
